Renovation of Poptahof, a residential area in Delft NL

PROJECT INFORMATION

Facade ornaments give each house its own identity. Inspired by historic terracotta ornaments and - ironwork ornaments of our inner cities I designed new shapes. Individual modules are combined into patterns in an intuitively manner.

Design process

Numerousless combinations make versatile patterns.

Meeting ceramicists engaged in the built environment has been particularly interesting and helpful on several levels, to fuel creative interests , and new like minded energies to 'bounce off'.
